The Ice Cream Festival is a self-guided event featuring special ice cream and frozen desserts from local shops in Vancouver, Burnaby, and Richmond. From June 21 to August 5, people can explore various food spots to try out their limited-time creations and signature items at their own pace.
This event is designed to satisfy your sweet tooth by indulging in an array of delightful frozen desserts, all while supporting local businesses.
There is no admission fee and anyone can visit the participating shops during their regular business hours to taste these new flavours created for the festival. Be aware that some vendors might have multiple locations and only specific ones participate in the festival.
In Vancouver, some of the treat shops signed up to participate include Bella Gelateria, Beta5, and Daigyo.
Richmond's returning participants include Soft Peaks Ice Cream, J Squared Ice Cream, Matcha Cafe Maiko, and Milkcow Cafe. In Burnaby, ice cream fans can visit Glenburn Soda Fountain, for example.
Noms Magazine, the festival organizer, also plans to create a festival passport for people to collect stickers and know where to visit next.
