Uncle Tetsu has opened a brand-new outpost of the Japanese cheeecake chain in Vancouver's West End. The shop has opened its doors at 1151 Robson St, in what was previously a Canucks Team Store.
This marks the brand's second location in Metro Vancouver; their first foray into Western Canada came in 2018 when Uncle Tetsu launched in Burnaby at Metropolis at Metrotown.
Uncle Tetsu's wiggly, jiggly, stamped cheesecake is available in whole six-inch cakes, and not by the slice. There is typically a one-cheesecake per customer limit.
While they're known for their classic plain cheesecake, Uncle Tetsu also has special flavours, like chocolate or matcha at times. They are also beloved for their cheese tarts.
