A "new wave Korean bistro" has opened its doors in Vancouver's West End.
has opened at 1184 Denman St on the second level where the Loft Lounge was for the last few years.
The new restaurant — with views looking out over the laughing men sculptures, palm trees, and English Bay — offers "memories of childhood flavourful home meals" according to a post on Instagram.
includes donkatsu, bulgogi, and spicy squid dishes.
In one Instagram post, operators note Horangee Sikdang doesn't have a liquor license yet, adding that a "full menu will be unleashed" once that goes through.
Previously, that location was home to the Lost Lounge which specialized in Caribbean fare; it closed earlier this year. Before that, the Denman Tap House spent years in the space.
