Mount Pleasant, get ready to (finally) say "bonjour!" to a brand new outpost of Vancouver's popular .
Parent company Toptable Group dropped the news about Thierry's expansion back in Oct. 2019 when they announced the closure of staple South Granville fine dining spot West, and now nearly a year later they have announced that the doors to Thierry Mount Pleasant will open this November.
Thierry is the chocolaterie and patisserie of veteran European-trained pastry chef Thierry Busset. Having come on board with Toptable to lead the pastry and baking programs at Cin Cin and West, ultimately they opted to give Chef Busset his own space, and Thierry on Alberni in downtown was born.
“Offering Thierry to another Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»neighbourhood has been a vision of mine for many years,” said Chef Thierry Busset. “I can’t wait to welcome our new community into the shop this fall – whether it be for a cappuccino, pastry or to pick up our finest chocolate or a cake for a special occasion.”
Known for beautiful viennoiserie and petit fours, macarons, chocolates, cakes and tarts, and stunning seasonal items, Thierry Café is also a great spot to sit down and enjoy eats like quiche and other cafe items, as well as sip on a hot or cold beverage.
The official space description comes courtesy Toptable: "Bringing to life the look and feel of storefront pâtisseries from Thierry’s native France, guests will enter through the shop’s iconic palm wood front door into a beautifully designed 2000 square foot café and retail space complete with classic French pâtisserie style finishes. To ensure only the highest quality, a wide range of products will be displayed in cases custom built in France uniquely designed for the presentation of chocolates and pastries."
Located at Main and Kingsway (265 East 10th Ave is the exact address) Thierry Mount Pleasant will be open daily once they are up and running next month.
