Taiwanese 'nut mylk' tea shop expanding with first Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­location

The fully plant-based biz serves up tons of tea drinks with their own nut-based 'mylk' and cream.

A Taiwan-based global tea shop is expanding its presence in Canada with plans to open up its first Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­location.

, which serves tea beverages featuring nut mylks, has pegged 1958 West 4th Avenue in Kitsilano for a new store.

The location was the longtime home of Sejuiced, a beloved local juice bar that shut down at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­and did not re-open. Handwritten signs from Sejuiced about closing due to concerns over the virus can still be seen on the storefront windows alongside signage for Nuttea.

Nuttea is a fully plant-based business, with a menu that includes a variety of fruit, black, or green teas with or without nut mylk or nut cream. The Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­Nuttea will also have coffee drinks and nut-based crepes on offer.

The franchised global chain's other Canadian outpost is in Edmonton, which itself is on the verge of opening up shop. Nuttea also has locations in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, London, and Australia, and is also working on expanding into Singapore.
