has added yet another Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»location to their roster, as the doors to their newest outpost opens Wednesday, October 17 in Mount Pleasant.
Dubbed "Ocho," this is the sixth brick-and-mortar location for the B.C. powerhouse that began as a humble food truck in a Tofino parking lot.
As each Tacofino takes on its own style and additions to the core menu, this newest location will offer a slightly different dining experience for even longtime brand loyalists.
The 2,800-square-foot space on East 5th Avenue is in a refurbished art deco-era heritage building, offering seating for 100 and including a beautiful bar space.
The restaurant has plans to launch the location's take out counter soon for grab-and-go, ideal for the residents and businesses in the vicinity.
On the menu: Tacofino Ocho features a lineup of fire-grilled, char-roasted meat and vegetable dishes developed by co-founder Jason Sussman and Tacofino’s Michelin-starred Chef Stefan Hartmann.

Beyond an assortment of tacos such as grilled skirt steak, crispy cod, rapini, squid and sweet potato and leek varieties, Ocho also offers new share-plate options such as whole grilled rockfish, half chicken, grilled pork belly and top sirloin as well as starters like grilled romaine salad, queso fundido, empanadas, and pozole.
From the bar, customers can opt for craft beer selections, tequila-based cocktails, sangria, caesars, and more.
We were thrilled to break the news of this latest Tacofino earlier this summer, and doubly so since it's dangerously close to Glacier Media's Mount Pleasant HQ. It's a great time for food lovers who spend time in the neighbourhood, with Purebread open across the street from Tacofino, a new ramen spot, the forthcoming Heritage Asian Eatery, and more.
Tacofino Ocho is located at 8 East 5th Avenue in Vancouver's Mount Pleasant. They open for service on Wednesday, October 17 at 5 pm and their hours will be Sunday to Wednesday from 11 am to 10 pm and Thursday to Saturday 11 am to midnight.
