In 2018, A&W Canada made waves by adding the Beyond Meat burger to their menu, and now another national chain is pairing up with the California-based meat alternative company. , a Tex-Mex style chain will launch a Beyond Meat® Burrito made with Beyond Meat’s Feisty Crumbles.
The new Beyond Meat Burrito hits the menuboards of Quesada's nearly 120 locations on Wednesday, Feb. 27.
“More of our customers are identifying as flexitarians and requesting plant-based options so we’re thrilled to be Canada’s first Mexican chain to offer the Beyond Meat Burrito,” said Steve Gill, Founder and Chief Recipe Officer, Quesada Burritos and Tacos, in a media release.
The Burrito and Burrito Bowl can be customized with options like slaw, guacamole, and salsas.

Beyond Meat’s 100% plant-based Feisty Crumbles are made from pea protein. The product is the only gluten-free and soy-free crumble on the market, with half the saturated fat of ground beef and no cholesterol or antibiotics, notes Quesada.
