Prefer your patties made with plants? This year's for you!

Brewhall was one of the several Metro Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»restaurants that took part in Le Burger Week last year. The two-week burger event takes place in September 2022, and the focus is on plant-based burgers this time.

Thick and juicy on a buttery bun, smashed thin with crispy edges, or made entirely of plants: There's a burger out there for anyone to love.

The national celebration of burger goodness has just revealed the two-week restaurant event will return in 2022, running Sept. 1-14 at participating restaurants in Metro Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»and beyond.

During those two delicious weeks, diners are encouraged to visit participating restaurants in their area and order up the Le Burger Week item. That's either an existing popular burger fave from the menu or something created especially for Le Burger Week diners to enjoy.

Launched nearly a decade ago in Montreal, the annual event has brought burger lovers together in numerous Canadian cities since 2017, when the fest expanded to include several more. In 2021, Le Burger Week doubled down and went from being a one-week affair to lasting two glorious burger-licious weeks.

Last year also found an increasing number of plant-based burgers on offer, so for 2022, Le Burger Week organizers are challenging participants to put forth a meatless selection for this year's event. "You don’t have the obligation to have a plant-based burger for this edition, but we do encourage you to stick to the theme and have fun with it," Le Burger Week explains to prospective restaurants.

Le Burger Week’s overall mission has always been to support local restaurants by increasing their sales and awareness through festival participation.

Registration for restaurants has just opened up coast to coast, so as the event nears, we'll know which Metro Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»spots will be firing up the grills this time around.

In 2021, Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»spots that took part included Fable Diner, Brewhall, Bad Apple Vegan, and Bells & Whistles. All told there were 22 burgers available at 32 locations to check out. That's a lot of burgers!
