Hawker's Delight

The Main & King Ed equivalent of Prata-Man in Richmond, Hawker's Delight is an unbeatable casual stop for cheap Singaporean/Malay eats. A Hawker stall is what they call cheap, open seating food stall centres in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, etc.

The Main & King Ed equivalent of in Richmond, Hawker's Delight is an unbeatable casual stop for cheap Singaporean/Malay eats. A Hawker stall is what they call cheap, open seating food stall centres in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, etc. Like Prata, all dishes range from the $4.75-6.75 range. I think the most expensive dish is the lamb curry which is $6.75 (pictured bottom left). Check out the enlarged menu pic under the cut to see all the killer tasty deals. One thing I was bummed to find is that they dont do the curry puffs anymore but have veggie fritters instead. These are alright but no too diff than many other deep fried veggies in other Asian cuisines. The curry puffs were pretty uniquely Sing/Malay though. This is also in a wicked few blocks of eateries on the Main & King Ed area that have a solid sample of the multicultural cuisines Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»has to offer.....(Read more under the cut)

HAWKERS DELIGHT

4127 Main Street, Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»- (604) 709-8188

On the north side of King Ed is (Japanese chicken skewer BBQ), Beefy Beef Noodle or something like that next to Zakkushi (im told dope and cheap beef brisket noodle soup, this place took over from Rekados), (west coast comfort food). across the street on the other side of Main. And beside Hawker's is (Brazilian style cheese buns) and across the street from there is (African), a Pho (Vietnamese) joint who's name completely escapes me, (Caribbean) and a new Thai restaurant (Something Chilli House?) that replaced the longime Sandy's Filipino restaurant () and I havent even covered them all in those few blocks...oh, and not to mention a handful of very Main street type coffee shops of course too.
