The noodle shop inside on the edge of Vancouver's Chinatown neighbourhood is growing into its own space. Harvest Noodles will be opening soon just a few doors down on Union Street, in the location just vacated by The Tuck Shoppe.
A rep for Harvest confirms the move, which will find the original Harvest grocery store and community-supported agriculture (CSA) pick-up spot stretching out within its own space. They'll also refresh their name: Harvest Plant + Provisions. The shop is focused on small batch and regional producers of high-quality food and cooking products.
Harvest has the same operational team as sibling spot , where chef/owner Andrea Carlson has been showcasing her "hundred mile diet" philosophy of ingredient sourcing, dishing up contemporary pacific northwest cuisine in a humble, cozy setting. Similarly, Harvest's noodle bar has a rustic, laid-back vibe, with its small menu of noodle dishes, like rice noodles, ramen, and udon - including several vegetarian and vegan-friendly options - and salad sides.
The Tuck Shoppe recently wrapped up their nearly four-year run at 237 Union Street, opting to focus on serving up their salads and sandwiches at the Granville Island location in the Net Loft building.
Details are still to come on the Harvest Noodles expansion/move into its own 25-seat space, though the target timeline is to be open sometime in March.
