"Trick or treat, smell my feet, give me something good to eat!"

When it comes to Halloween treats, Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»restaurants, bakeries, and even bars are getting into the spirit of the season big time. Sure, you can grab a bag of candy corn or one of those bags filled with tiny boxes of Smarties from the mega-mart...but you can also support some local businesses and make this a Halloween to remember.

With so many ghouls and goblins of all ages opting to keep the parties small and at home during these unusual times, it's ideal for skipping the regular trick-or-treat eats and opting for something truly spook-tacular. We've rounded up a few of the most hauntingly enticing foods, goodies, and even libations to help liven up your souls for Halloween 2020.

The whimsical chocolate and treat shop has come up some ghoul-icious goodies: Monster Mash Cream Puffs. Hurry, though, and get an order in as they are just about sold out. Other treats include ghost lollipops and, of course, their many regular chocolate bars and creations.

It's all treats and no tricks here. East Van Roasters has their Witches Brew - stone-ground Ecuadorian chocolate for at-home hot-chocolate-making with a wicked twist: a touch of charcoal. The brew is paired with strawberry house-made marshmallows and the combination, they say, is scary-delicious. They're also making "natural Candy Corn" called  Dark Chocolate Corn Nuts, which is giant Inca corn, candied and coated in 70% Peruvian dark chocolate. Then there's EVR's Honey Nib Caramels, made with Hives for Humanity honey and Madagascar cacao nibs.

The East Van distillery's cocktail lounge is making Salem The Cat, a drink created by Odd Society Spirits Bar Manager, Olivia Povarchook that uses their Mongrel Unaged Rye. A nod to the former witch that was sentenced to spend 100 years as a cat for attempting to take over the world, Salem The Cat is a powerful bittersweet concoction that will leave you spellbound. Brimming with personality, this beastly potion is made with Odd Society Spirits’ Mongrel Unaged Rye, Mia Amata Amaro and CreÌ€me de Cassis gently stirred with a touch of Fernet Branca and a lick of Pernod, lastly charmed with two brandied cherries.
