The Golden Plates Awards are back and .
Now it's very hard for me to pick favourites in things like this, but there are somethings I definitely like to cheerlead...so here are some picks that have impressed me in this city.
( and picking 3 categories to talk about.)
Christine's pick for : Best Brunch
Who: Fable
There is a lot to choose from in Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»for weekend dining in the morning, but is particularly delightful and delicious. But what really takes the cake for me is their "Boozy Brunch" - half  priced drinks on the last Sunday of the month. Pints are $3, and there are $4 doubles. Add to that brunch favourites like french toast or pulled pork johnny cakes and you have one great Sunday morning. Usually brunch is also on a walk-in basis, but they do take some reservations for Boozy Brunch. I suggest you check it out.

Christine's Pick for: Best Neighbourhood For Restaurants
Who: South Granville
I am COMPLETELY biased here, as this is my neighbourhood, but it's part of the reason I live here. New restaurants keep arriving and old standby's never fail. From breakfast at , to vegetarian at , to wine at , and fine dining at , it's got a lot to offer. There are lots of smaller places tucked away where you can dine for cheap, .

Christine's Pick for: Â Best Restaurant B.C. Beer Selection
Who: Alibi Room
There are quite a few great places in Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»to get a huge selection of BC Beer, but when it comes to a place with selection , my pick will be the Alibi Room. Locally-sourced, ocean-friendly and naturally/free-run raised food all over the menu  - shared/small plates for when you just want a snack, and an excellent brunch menu. Pair this with specialty beers from all over BC and you have yourself a winner.
