Commercial Drive neighbourhood loses fried chicken joint, gains sushi shop

Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­has lost Delicious Korean Chicken.

That was the full name of DK Chicken at 1638 East Broadway, a short-lived fried chicken and Korean restaurant near the intersection with Commercial Drive. It only lasted about a year, replacing Broadway Station Sushi, which had occupied the address for about a decade.

Now the space is once again serving sushi, as Kakai opened up near the end of 2023.

Along with a variety of rolls and cones, the new restaurant also carries other Japanese dishes like tempura, donburi, noodles, and a variety of appetizers.
