One of the chain's oldest Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»locations will soon serve its final Feenie Burgers, Bellinis, and Crispy Yam Fries.

North Vancouver-born Cactus Club, which launched in 1988, is set to close its Robson Street location in Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»rather than renew its lease there.

It seems like there's been a Cactus Club on Robson in Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»for practically forever, but those days are about to end.

Cactus Club Cafe confirmed with Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» the location on the ground floor of 1136 Robson St is shutting down before the end of March.

"We can confirm that the lease term is ending at our Robson Street location and that this location will close on March 27, 2022," the company states in an email.

"Our Robson Street restaurant has had an incredible tenure and has helped to build our brand into what it is today," added Cactus Club in its statement about the closure.

Indeed, business license records from the City of Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»go back to 2003 for the Robson outpost of the local chain, putting Cactus Club's tenure there to nearly 20 years - pretty impressive.

Employees at the soon-to-be-shuttered restaurant might be able to stay on with the company, indicates Cactus Club: "All staff from our Robson location who want to be redeployed to other Cactus Club locations will be given that opportunity."

Recently there has been a bit of a shake-up behind the scenes at Cactus Club, as founder Richard Jaffray has stepped aside, having sold his stake in the business to the Fuller family of Earls' fame. The Fullers have been silent partners in Cactus Club since its beginning. Jaffray opened the first Cactus Club in North Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»in 1988, and today there are 32 locations across Canada, employing 5,000 people.

Soon there will be one fewer Cactus Club, though, as the Robson Street location is set to soon serve its final Feenie Burgers, Bellinis, and Crispy Yam Fries.
