You'll find them between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. at Bandidas on the brunch menu, and the dish features three handmade corn tortillas loaded with scrambled eggs, black beans, caramelized onions, roasted tomato salsa, cheese, and sour cream, served with purple cabbage. You can add guac on the side for and extra couple of bucks, or make it a full-on plate with roasted yam and potato hash for a few bucks more. Bandidas is also super vegan-friendly, so you can make some swaps to enjoy totally plant-based breakfast tacos, too.

On the weekends, you'll find Breakfast Tacos on the menu at Slickity Jim's 7th Ave location, served from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. They've got scrambled eggs in corn tortillas with a black bean and corn salsa along with aged white cheddar, sour cream, and salsa. There's a salad on the side to get you your greens.

Kitsilano's veteran Mexican restaurant Las Margaritas serves up brunch weekends and holidays from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. They have a small brunch menu, but it's loaded with some classic loaded breakfast platters. Their breakfast tacos dish is comprised of three free-run eggs scrambled with pico de gallo, heaped in a pair of corn tortillas along with refried beans, cheddar cheese, pickled onions and cilantro. On the side are crispy breakfast potatoes and some chipotle mayo. You can add on either or both ground chorizo and guac to make these extra packed. This is for sure a spot where you want to pair your brunch with something to drink besides plain ol' coffee, and La Margaritas has grapefruit or orange mimosas, Mexican hot chocolate, Caesars made with tequila, horchata, or Micheladas (beer with Clamato juice).
