Here are all 160+ drinks to try during Vancouver's 2024 Hot Chocolate Festival

Balance out the chill and gloom of winter in Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­with a few cups of comforting hot chocolate!

Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­café Honolulu Coffee has two whimsical drinks on the menu for this year's Greater Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­Hot Chocolate Festival. They join 70 other vendors for a total of 162 drink offerings available from January 13 to February 14, 2024.

What better way to balance out the chill and gloom of January and February in Metro Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­than with a few cups of comforting hot chocolate?

That's the premise of the , which runs from Jan. 13 to Feb. 14, 2024 and features an impressive 71 vendors serving up 162 hot chocolate drinks at 105 locations across the region.

Fans of the warm chocolatey bev can get their fill at this DIY drink-around event. This year there are Star Wars-themed drinks (Beaucoup), drinks you can turn into works of art (Honolulu Coffee), and plenty of options for plant-based sippers or the 19+ set who enjoy a little something extra in their hot chocolate.

Many returning "chocstars" (the organizers' term for its participating vendors) are outdoing themselves once again, with some pretty showstopping drinks on offer. Aiyaohno Café has one made with durian, while The Pie Hole and the Bel Cafe are inspired by apple pie. 

Trafiq Café & Bakery's drinks are all influenced by the flavours of Mexico, Bella Gelateria's hot chocolates will whisk you away on a tour of Italy, and Mon Paris will take you to France.

Over at the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­Aquarium, they've got a duo of ocean-critter themed sips (and you don't have to pay admission to the venue to enjoy them). Several beverages come with treats on the side, like cannoli, macarons, banana bread, tarts, donuts, and cookie. Or even savoury bites, like banh mi. 

French Toast, PB&J, birthday cake, candied yam...you name it, there's likely a 2024 Hot Chocolate Festival drink featuring that flavour. 

2024 Greater Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­Hot Chocolate Festival participants and drinks

Here are all 162 flavours from the 71 vendors (chocstars) at a combined 105 locations to try this year. Be sure to note the dietary options, adjustments, and dates available for each drink. The descriptions were all crafted by the vendors, and, like the hot chocolates, run the gamut from simple to over the top. 

  • DARK AND ROSEMARY: Available January 13 - 28, 2024. Dark hot chocolate infused with rosemary and sea salt. Served with a brioche doughnut filled with dark chocolate custard, topped with chocolate ganache and candied rosemary white chocolate bark.
  • CHA-CHA CHAI: Available January 29- February 11, 2024. Dark hot chocolate infused with chai spices. Served with a brioche doughnut filled with chai spiced custard, topped with milk chocolate ganache and spiced biscuit. 

  • MARINARA CHOCOLATA: Available January 13 - 28, 2024 (except Mondays). Dark hot chocolate enchanted with aromatic marinara sauce, rimmed with rich thick melted white chocolate, and topped with basil and Cheetos sprinkles. Served with "Pear-y Cherry Cheetos Molten Lava Bomb," a pear and cherry pie with Cheetos in the filling, and molten cheese béchamel in the centre.
  • FAIRYCORE: Available January 30 - February 14, 2024. Dark hot chocolate with creamy cashew and sun-dried tomato red pesto, rimmed with blackberry syrup and purple crystal sugar. Topped with a white and purple marshmallow meringue that is infused with Blackberry Butterfly tea, and a drizzle of blackberry syrup. Served with "Tart (Heart) Melting Apple Rose," a torched Apple Rose topped with brie cheese that is blossoming on a raspberry rhubarb vanilla cream tart - an alluring Valentine romance.

  • JIRO DREAMS OF DURIAN*: Available January 13 - February 14, 2024. Dark chocolate combined with Amazake, a traditional Japanese koji fermented rice drink, and Musang King Durian, the “king of fruits." Served with a Honey Melon Chocolate Truffle. *Contain alcohol, gluten-free, vegan option available
  • CAPYBARA'S FAVOURITE YUZU ONSEN**: Available January 13 - February 14, 2024. Dark chocolate combined with Yuzu citrus and aromas of Hinoki, an aromatic wood used in traditional Japanese hot spring baths. Served with a Yuzu Citrus Chocolate Truffle. **Gluten-free, vegan option available

 

  • BANANA RUM-ble*: Available January 13 - February 14, 2024. Inspired by a classic tropical cocktail, this decadent drink combines rich dark chocolate with banana and hot buttered rum sauce, topped with whipped cream, cocoa powder and a pocky biscuit stick. Served with carrot cake with miso cream cheese icing (vegan, gluten-free, nut-free).
  • "FOUR SPICE" HOT CHOCOLATE: Available January 13 - February 14, 2024. An eye-opening sweet and spicy combo of dark chocolate infused with cayenne, cinnamon, tahini and ginger topped with roasted sesame seeds and marshmallows. Served with a lemon blondie bar (gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free).

 

  • ROASTED CHESTNUT HOT CHOCOLATE: (Takeout only) Available January 13 - 31, 2024Fresh roasted chestnut milk, chocolate sauce, whipped cream and shaved chocolate curls. Served with a sea-salted chocolate and chestnut chunk cookie. Chestnut milk is made with just two ingredients: peeled, roasted chestnuts and water.
  • THE ROYAL TIGER(Takeout only) Available February  1-14, 2024Fresh tiger nut milk, chocolate sauce, whipped cream with butterscotch and chocolate ganache drizzle. Paired with a sea-salted chocolate and tiger nut chunk cookie. Tiger nut milk is made with just two ingredients: raw tiger nuts and water. 

Both drinks contain nuts. Both drinks can be made vegan. 

 

  • S’MORELICIOUS HOT CHOCOLATE: Available January 13 - February 14, 2024. An exquisite blend of rich chocolate, signature rosemary vanilla syrup, served with torched marshmallow whip, rosemary sprig, and a bite sized s’more cookie.
  • CHOCOLATE CALIENTE: Available January 13 - February 14, 2024. A blend of decadent dark chocolate syrup and spices, torched marshmallow whipped rim & fresh whipped cream, dusted with cinnamon, drizzle of salted caramel. Served with a cinnamon sugared churro.  

  • JOIN THE DARK SIDE: Available: Jan 13 - 20, 2024. Savour the intergalactic delight of our Star Wars-Themed Hot Chocolate Fondue Special, featuring the luxurious richness of Valrhona chocolate enhanced with the crunch of Oreo and velvety flavour of sesame. Accompanying this velvety temptation are exquisite financier biscuits, artfully shaped into iconic Star Wars silhouettes, awaiting their destiny as the perfect dipper.
  • BABY YODA: Available: Jan 21 - 27, 2024. Warm up your senses with our Hot Chocolate Fondue Special “Baby Yoda”, a creamy and captivating creation where East meets West. At its heart is the silky-smooth Valrhona Dulcey Blond chocolate, renowned for its velvety 32% cocoa butter richness and caramelized notes, providing a luscious backdrop for the revered ceremonial grade matcha from the lush fields of Shizuoka. This unique blend of flavours is punctuated by the playful crunch of KitKat, adding a familiar yet surprising twist.  Served with Star Wars character-shaped financier biscuits, expertly crafted for dipping, this fondue turns every bite into an adventurous journey through a tapestry of taste.   • SWEETIE PIE: Available: Jan 13 - 29, 2024. Apple pie-inspired white hot chocolate with apple cider syrup and warming spices. Served with an apple and caramel tartlet. 
  • CASHEW ME OUTSIDE: Available Jan 30 - Feb 14, 2024 . Hot Chocolate made with cashew milk, valrhona caramelia chocolate, maple syrup and vanilla (contains nuts).

  • AMORE BELLO - A TASTE OF PIEMONTE*: Available January 13 - February 14, 2024. Sip your way to Northwest Italy's hazelnut heartland with our "Amore Bello" hot chocolate.  It's a delightful journey to the Langhe region of Piedmont, where the world's most coveted Tonda Gentile hazelnuts thrive.   Rich and velvety Gianduja (chocolate/hazelnut) hot chocolate is crowned with a cloud-like whipped cream topping. A sprinkle of chopped Piemonte roasted hazelnuts adds that perfect crunch. To accompany the drink, a mini cannoli with our Flower of Milk ‘Fior di Latte’ gelato piped inside.  Taste the love of Italy’s Piemonte Region in every sip.
  • AMALFI WITH LOVE - A CITRUS SYMPHONY: Available January 13 - February 14, 2024. Escape to the enchanting Amalfi Coast in Southern Italy, with our "Amalfi with Love" hot chocolate.  Crafted with Michel Cluizel's Mangaro Plantation 71% dark chocolate with its mango and citrus notes, this velvety elixir is a journey to remember.  It's crowned with a cloud of whipped cream, elegantly garnished with candied citrus fruit — all paying homage to the vibrant orchards of the Almafi Coast.  A delicate spray of "Italian blood orange mist" dances on top of the whipped cream, a sensory experience that will transport you to this coastal paradise. On the side: to capture the essence of the Amalfi sun, we've added a lemon tart for that perfect tang.  Drink in the love of the Amalfi Coast with every delightful sip.
  • BUBBLE-LATO: WHERE EAST MEETS WEST: Available January 13 - February 14, 2024. "Bubble-lato" invites you to savour a harmonious blend of cultures. We've taken the silky richness of Taiwanese tea and melded it with a medley of Michel Cluizel dark chocolates.  The result?  An extraordinary hot chocolate that transcends borders.  Crowned with a velvety whipped cream topping and adorned with boba garnish, every sip is an adventure. On the side, is a Italian pastry shell that cradles our exclusive and made in house boba-infused Taiwanese tea gelato. It's a delightful nod to everyone who holds bubble tea close to their hearts.  

  • SNOW ON A MOUNTAIN: Available Jan 13 - Feb 14, 2024. A luxurious and indulgent hot chocolate with a tropical twist. The base of this beverage is crafted using rich milk chocolate and macadamia nut infused creamy coconut milk. The delightful flavor of roasted macadamia nuts and the subtle hint of coconut makes for a heavenly blend that will remind you of cozy winter nights and snowy mountains. The beverage is garnished with a dollop of freshly whipped coconut cream, sprinkle of shaved coconut, and toasted macadamia nuts. Served with a sweet mini zepppola, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside - this light and fluffy pastry is deep fried and covered in pearl sugar.
  • PETER RABBIT'S WONDERLAND: Available Jan 13 - Feb 14, 2024. Our take on a classic hot chocolate with a little surprising twist. This smooth and silky hot chocolate is made with rich cacao, brown sugar, and a distinctive nutty sweetness of chestnuts. The beverage will be served with caramel infused whipped cream and caramelized carrot ribbons on the top. This combination of chestnut and caramelized carrots transforms the classic hot chocolate into a sophisticated winter delight. Served with a mini caramel beignet, fried to perfection, this soft pastry is glazed with warm caramel sauce.
  • MELTY MOMENTS*: Available Jan 13 - Feb 14, 2024. A decadent winter indulgence spiked with Crème de Cacao. This velvety drink is made with dark chocolate base, the warmth of cinnamon, and a generous pat of butter. Combination of the buttery richness and the subtle kick of the alcohol makes this beverage a cozy delight. The hot chocolate is topped with a dollop of freshly whipped cream and a sprinkle of nutmeg. Served with cinnamon sugar mini donuts, light and airy, deep fried pastry covered in cinnamon sugar.   *Contains alchohol

  • SHANGAI FOG: Available: January 13 - 27, 2024. Floral jasmine green bubble tea hot chocolate. Served with a mini version of our, 'Shanghai Fog Cream Puff,' a blend of floral jasmine mousse, madeleine sponge, vanilla mousse, and jasmine tea chantilly.  
  • PURPLE HAZE: Available: Jan 28 - Feb 10, 2024. Fresh taro and coconut bubble tea hot chocolate. Served with a mini version of our 'Fresh Taro Cream Puff,' consisting of coconut mousse, fresh taro custard, coconut chiffon and sago pearls.   

  • A BEAR NECESSITY: Available: January 13 - February 14, 2024. Spicy cayenne and caramel infused hot chocolate topped with whipped cream and caramel. Served with a shortbread cookie shaped like a bear covered in delicious sprinkles.
  • "BJORN" THE BEAR: Available: January 13 - February 14, 2024. Dark chocolate orange hot chocolate topped with whipped cream and chocolate decor. Served with a dark chocolate biscotti filled with orange zest and toasted hazelnuts.

  • THE BEARY FIRST DATE: Available: January 13 - January 28, 2024. Flavours of blackberries, black pepper and 64% dark chocolate collide in this tantalizing hot chocolate that’s topped with a light purple whipping cream. Enjoy with a pillowy soft and fluffy teddy bear marshmallow. We swear that it’s gonna be beary, beary good! This is the perfect first date or any date hot chocolate drink to cuddle up with! And stay tuned for the next drink in our hot chocolate series.
  • A RUMANTIC NIGHT: Available: January 30 - February 14, 2024. Passionfruit and a hint of ginger are infused into a luscious milk chocolate that tempts your tastebuds with the excitement of what’s to come! Savour 'A Rumantic Night' with a classic French rum baba.

  • VIOLET'S BERRY DELIGHT*: (Takeout only) Available January 13 - 30, 2024. A blueberries and cream hot chocolate made with sweet blueberries, white couverture chocolate and finished off with fresh blueberry whip. This drink is inspired by Violet Beauregard, a chewing gum-obsessed girl from Charlie and the chocolate factory who turns into a giant blueberry. It is served with a house made dark chocolate bar that may contain a winning golden ticket. There will be multiple golden tickets hidden in these chocolate bars for a chance to win prizes and coupons. May the odds be ever in your favour!  *Gluten-free
  • FOR THE LOVE OF MINT CHOCOLATE: (Takeout only). Available January 30- February 14, 2024. A minty dark hot chocolate made with pure peppermint oils and 70.5% couverture dark chocolate. The richness from the chocolate and the sharp and refreshing kick from the peppermint creates a harmonious blend of flavors that will keep you wanting more. It is served with a mint chocolate ice cream scoop in cookie form. 

  • BOKETTO'S APRÈS-SKI: Available January 13 - February 14, 2024. White hot chocolate topped with whipped cream dusted with kinako powder, and white chocolate 'Crispearls.' Accompanied with a liege waffle stuffed with mochi, drizzled with white chocolate, and dusted with kinako powder.
  • WHISTLER APRÈS-SKI: Available January 13 - January 28, 2024. Rich dark hot chocolate with a toasted house made amarena cherry marshmallow cream and amarena cherry on top. Served with Amarena Cherry Trifle Sponge, a light sponge cake and custard cream with amarena cherries.
  • CYPRESS APRÈS-SKI: Available January 29 - February 14, 2024. Milk and dark hot chocolate topped with house made marshmallow cream and fig syrup drizzle. Served with a Sandwich Cardamom Shortbread cookie filled with fig jam.

Served with a cookies ‘n cream cake wedge. Our version of a classic moist and delicious chocolate cake topped with cookies ‘n cream buttercream. As nostalgic as black and white movies.
  • PINK FLAMINGO: Available January 13- February 14, 2024. White hot chocolate topped with pink whipped cream and sprinkled with hot pink sparkling sugar. Served with red velvet cake reminiscent of a desert sunset topped with our classic pink buttercream icing. The best flamingo experience outside of Las Vegas.
  • BUMBLE BEE HOT CHOCOLATE: Available January 13 - February 14, 2024. Dark chocolate with perfectly steamed milk topped with honey sweetened whip cream and dark chocolate drizzle to top it off. Served alongside Butter’s classic vanilla cake with bumble bee striped vanilla buttercream. This combination will leave you buzzing!

  • COCOASIS*: (cafe service only) Available January 13 - February 14, 2024. Step into a lush world of flavour with our terrarium-inspired Cocoasis! This lush creation is a harmonious blend of rich cocoa and velvety steamed milk, topped and served with a decadent green 'moss' crumb and cake.   • FALL REMINISCENCE: Available: January 13 - January 27, 2024. Encapsulating the sweet and savoury flavours that bring comfort with the changing leaves.  Roasted butternut squash and brown butter blended with caramelized white chocolate, topped with chantilly, cardamom caramel and candied pumpkin seeds. Served with our Pumpkin Cake Petit Four.
  • ODE TO WINTER: Available: January 13 - January 27, 2024. To warm the soul in the cold winter months.  Dark hot chocolate blended with a house made mulled wine reduction, aniseed marshmallow and black currant caramel. Served with our Mini Panforte.
  • ROAD TO SPRING: Available: January 30 - February 14, 2024. Brighter flavours to welcome the the brighter days ahead.  Lemon infused guava and oolong white hot chocolate, finished in chantilly and lemon curd. Served with our Mini Lemon Hazlenut Croissant Scroll.
  • SUMMER LOVE*: Available: January 30 - February 14, 2024. Flavours to savour in the height of the on-the-go sunny season. A dairy-free blend of dark chocolate, raspberries, and almond Butter, steamed with almond milk. Served with our Chocolate Coated Banana Ice Cream Snack Bar. *Dairy-free and vegan

  • UNDERCOVER BOSS: Available January 13 - 30, 2024. Amaretto crunch hot chocolate made with our handcrafted hot chocolate ganache amaretto-infused milk, topped with fresh whipped cream and chocolate covered cannoli crunch, ganache drizzle, and a mini cannoli (with or without amaretto liquor). Served with an amaretto cookie. 
  • THE SICILIAN ORCHESTRA: Available January 31 - February 14, 2024. Raspberry pistachio hot chocolate layered with our handcrafted pistachio cream, raspberry swirl with raspberry infused milk, fresh whip, pistachio and raspberry drizzle. Served with a half-pistachio and half-raspberry mini cannoli.

  • TOO HOT TO HANDLE: Available January 13 - February 14, 2024. A 70% dark hot chocolate with peperoncino (Italian name for hot chili peppers). Served with pane (bread) cream crème brûlée with olive oil cake.
  • ITALIAN WINTER: Available January 13 - February 14, 2024. A 70% dark hot chocolate with a shot of espresso. Served with a scoop of fior di latte gelato with a mocha cantuccio.
  • OH MIA CARA CLEMENTINA! (Oh my darling, Clementine): Available January 13 - February 14, 2024. Clementine white hot chocolate. Served with candied ginger oranges.

  • EVERYTHING BUT THE KITCHEN SINK*: Available January 13 - 29, 2024. Caramelized white hot chocolate adorned with whipped cream, caramel drizzle and crushed pretzels. Served with a dessert flight containing one mini fudge brownie, one mini brown butter chocolate chip cookie, one mini cupcake, and one mini macaron. *Gluten-free option available upon request
  • SUGAR COOKIE SPRINKLE SHAKER: Available January 30 - February 14, 2024. An interactive raspberry white hot chocolate with whipped cream and a cookie shaker to crack open and sprinkle the party on your hot chocolate. On the side is a sugar cookie filled with sprinkles for you to break open. 

  • CEREAL-OUSLY AWESOME CINNAMON TOAST CRUNCH: Available January 13 - 27, 2024. A 41% milk chocolate infused with cinnamon and topped with house-made cereal whipped cream.  Paired with a large house-made French toast dragée.
  • DRAGON BALL Z: Available January 30 - February 10, 2024. A 70% dark chocolate combined with Fleur de Sel topped with house made whipped cream. Paired with a chocolate Dragon Ball filled with Nanaimo bar filling. 

  • QUETZALCOATLL Available: January 13 - 31, 2024. Inspired by the old-world ceremonial traditions of xocolatl, this creamy Mexican dark chocolate drink is rich with maize, chilies and aromatic spices. Accompanied by buttery bizcochitos.
  • SNICKERDOODLE. Available February 1 - 14, 2024. Inspired by the classic combination of brown sugar, vanilla & spice, this comforting, creamy white hot chocolate is simply satisfying. Served with our Snickerdoodle Crumb Cake.

  • VENEZIA DOUGHNUT LOVE*: Available January 13 - February 14, 2024, while supplies last. Tiramisu hot chocolate made with Callebaut milk chocolate callets melted with steamed milk, topped with an espresso mascarpone whip and sprinkled with cocoa powder. Served with a Mini Tiramisu doughnut: brioche doughnut filled with espresso mascarpone mousse, dipped in Kahlua glaze and sprinkled with cocoa powder. *Milk alternatives not available. 
  • ACAPULCO DOUGHNUT LOVE**: Available January 13 - February 14, 2024. Mexican hot chocolate made with Callebaut dark chocolate melted with steamed milk and a touch of added heat from cinnamon and chili. Served with a housemade Churro.  **Can be made vegan/gluten-friendly with a substitution for our Dark Chocolate Cake Doughnut with a spicy dark chocolate ganache. Oat, almond, and coconut milk available. 

  • THIS DRINK IS ILLEGAL SOUTH OF THE BORDER*: (Takeout only) Available January 13 - 30, 2024. Tonka bean, sarsaparilla bitters, and absinthe bitters-infused hot chocolate. Comes complete with a tiny chocolate egg. *Dairy-free, vegan
  • CHOCOLATE IS A BETTER PAIRING THAN FISH*: (Takeout only) Available January 31 - February 14, 2024. Dark hot chocolate with black sesame, miso and maple. Served with a black sesame shortbread cookie. *Dairy-free, vegan
  • STOP POKING THE MOON RABBIT: (Takeout only) Available: February 9 - 14, 2024. White Rabbit malted milk hot chocolate, offered in the final week of the festival to celebrate Chinese New Year. Served with a salted egg yolk shortbread.

  • PINACHOCOLADA*: Available: January 13 - February 14, 2024. Caramelized pineapple coconut milk chocolate ganache topped with coconut whip and pineapple caramel drizzle. Served with a Tropical Good Cookie where chocolate and tropical dried fruits come together in a delicious and nutritious vegan cookie bar topped with shredded coconut. All you need is the beach! *Gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan

  • THE WORLD'S RAREST CHOCOLATE: PURE NACIONAL FORTUNATO NO. 4 (68%): Available January 27 - February 2, 2024. Back by popular demand, this rare chocolate makes a velvety rich chocolate experience. This famous cacao was the world's premium luxury chocolate until the early 1900's when all the trees were lost due to infestation. The chocolate is lovingly blended with a whisper of vanilla and a hint of cinnamon, creating a warmth that resonates with every sip. Topping off this delightful concoction is a cloud of soft whipped cream, adorned with a sprinkle of crispy rice. Paired with vegan Crown Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­(vegan eggnog with rum and cinnamon praline). "Winter is the season for longing and for summoning a vision for us... Longing for the sun to leap back on earth from morning hills to the underground rivers and blossoming orchards... Every fruit, like a “small hand” , captures and retains a piece of sun to give  back to us when we need it most in those long, shadowy days... In this liquid story, coconut will carry the unique, sunny citrus flavour of Calamansi, and patient spices will tie the whole experience to the earth! Good news! You will be happily grounded!"

  • BLACK GIRAFFE: (Takeout only) Available from Feb 4-14, 2024. Indulge in the ultimate treat with our Keto, vegan, refined sugar-free Oat Milk Dark Hot Chocolate. This delicious drink is the real deal, combining rich, velvety 100% dark chocolate with the goodness of oat milk. Sweetened with our in-house processed monk fruit and Erythritol, it's completely free from sugar and soy.   • THE HEALER: Available January 13 - 24, 2024. A 35% premium vegetarian white hot chocolate created in response to popular request for another "Mystery Flavour Challenge." Paired with a house made, organic, double chocolate gelato taster. *Oat milk available for the drink. Note: This is a mystery flavour hot chocolate with the secret ingredient announced on Thursday, Jan 24th.  Festival goers who guess the flavour correctly will be entered in a draw for prizes awarded by Koko Monk Hot Chocolate Lounge. From the bright mouths of leaves, perched on their ruby boughs, life enters, singing its song for every living creatures! This vegetarian drink made with 35% single origin white chocolate is the promise of long lost gods to humanity, pure food will enter in you to purify your body and soul!

  • IL CINEMA (THE CINEMA): Available January 31- February 14, 2024. A night out at the movies. This is a malted milk chocolate drink reminiscent of malteser chocolates. It is topped with a butter popcorn whip and a cola reduction, garnished with a Melt Confectionary malt ball. Served with a side of freshly made popcorn.

  • CAMPFIRE*: Available January 13 - February 14, 2024. A 65% Dark hot chocolate accompanied by a toasted marshmallow cup that, once placed on top of the hot chocolate, melts, crackles and pops with Pop Rocks!   • A HOT CHOCOLATE NAMED PRISCILLA, QUEEN OF THE DESSERT: Available January 13 - February 14, 2024. Inspired by an iconic Australian movie This drink is a hot chocolate dressed in drag. Blue marshmallow white hot chocolate. A darling pavlova topped with blue cotton candy.
  • DON'T FORGET MY CHERRY RIPE: Available January 13 - February 14, 2024. Based on the Aussie Cherry Ripe chocolate bar, milk chocolate with hints of coconut and cherry. Paired with a housemade Cherry Ripe Slice. 

  • BARREL OF CHUNKY MONKEYS: Available January 13 - February 14, 2024. A whole lot of monkey business with this hot chocolate inspired by our Chunk Monkey Pie. A 65% Inaya dark chocolate with housemade banana caramel syrup, topped with whipped cream, chocolate drizzle and candied banana chip streusel. Served with a mini Chunky Monkey Pie: double butter crust, dark chocolate ganache, banana cream, whipped cream, and chocolate drizzle.
  • APPLE PIE HOT CHOCOLATE: Available January 13 - February 14, 2024. Sweet and creamy hot chocolate with housemade brown sugar apple butter syrup and cinnamon spiced white chocolate Callebaut. Topped with whipped cream, caramel drizzle and buttery baked brown sugar pie crumbles.   • CANDIED YAM & TOASTED MARSHMALLOW HOT CHOCOLATE*: Available January 13 - 31, 2024. A comforting hot chocolate made with milk chocolate, candied sweet potato puree, coconut cream, coconut sweet condensed milk, brown sugar, spices, steamed oat milk and torched marshmallows. Served with an almond financier, an extra buttery version of the traditional French almond cake. *Dairy-free, vegan

The drink combos will be served at both To Live For Bakery in Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­and Everbean Cafe in Surrey during each location’s respective hours of operation.

  • GOLDEN HORCHATA: Available  January 13 - 21 and February 6 - 14, 2024. Traditional Mexican drink with a twist; rice milk based with white chocolate, ginger, turmeric, and cinnamon. Paired with an almond Mexican wedding cookie.
  • CAFÉ CON LÉCHE: Available January 23 - 28 and January 30 - February 4, 2024. A classic drink served in Veracruz with the addition of chocolate, think Mexican mocha; this drink marries espresso extract, dark caramel, and milk chocolate with steamed milk. Paired with a light, buttery, coffee Spritz cookie.
  • HOLY MOLE: Available January 23 - 28 and February 6 - 14, 2024. It may sound weird, but the mixture of spices and chiles with 64% dark chocolate make this an incredible, interesting chocolate beverage. Paired with a mole ganache shortbread 'sandwich'.
  • AZTEC ATOLE: Available January 13 - 21 and January 30 - February 4, 2024. Popular in the Aztec culture, atole (uh·tow·lee) is a cornmeal-based drink which we marry with 64% dark chocolate, vanilla, cinnamon, and orange blossom water. Paired with a light and fluffy corn based sable cookie.

  • BADD ASS BLACKBERRY HOT CHOCOLATE*: Available January 13 - February 14, 2024. Blackberry Hot Chocolate is dark, mysterious, intense & fun. This hot chocolate is made with real blackberries, Chocolate Dark Ex 70% Bitter from Callebaut & Avalon Organic milk. It’s perfect for snuggling up with in winter, this decadent drink is served with marshmallows and a drizzle of blackberry coulis. Served with our Midnight dark chocolate gelato macaron. *Organic, gluten-free, vegan option available
  • UTTERLY SHAMELESS CHEESECAKE HOT CHOCOLATE: Available January 13 - 31, 2024. This white hot chocolate from scratch tastes like cheesecake in a cup without waiting for a whole cheesecake to bake. Made with Chocolate White 29% Blanc Satin from Cacao Barry, Organic Avalon milk, Madagascar vanilla and cream cheese. Graham cracker crumbs, homemade whipped cream, and passion fruit sauce for garnish. Served with a passion fruit macaron.
  • PONCHE MEXICANO**: Available February 1 - 14, 2024. Mexican ponche is a fruity and spiced mix.  The ingredients include apples, guavas, tejocotes (a small, sweet fruit), tamarindo, hibiscus and sugar cane. These are simmered with spices like cinnamon and cloves, and piloncillo, mixing it with Chocolate Dark 66% Mexique from Cacao Barry, this Mexico origin dark couverture chocolate with its high cocoa content releases spicy and woody notes, with a hint of liquorice. Served with a piece of To Live For vegan banana bread. **Vegan.

  • HOT SHARK'OLATE: Available January 13 - February 14, 2024. Rich and creamy fin-dulgence awaits! Housemade velvety chocolate syrup, steamed milk, whipped cream and sprinkles. Served in an adorable souvenir shark mug. Served with a handcrafted aquatic sugar cookie. 
  • OTTERLY DECADENT: Available January 13 - February 14, 2024. Deliciousness that’s otter this world! Hand-made dark chocolate ready to be mixed into steamed milk with a rich dark chocolate syrup.  Topped with whipped cream and chocolate shavings. Served with a paw'dorable handcrafted otter sugar cookie. 

2024 Update: the drinks will be available in the Courtyard Café after the admissions gate.  If you'd like to come by for just the hot chocolate, come to the admissions gate and someone from the café will come and bring you inside. 

  • ORANGE-INAL CIN: Available January 13 - 31, 2024 Cinnamon orange warming hot chocolate.  Think spiced Terry's Chocolate Orange in a cup.  Served with sandwiched sugar cookie with cream filling and candied orange pieces. 
  • SESAME TREATS: Available February 1 - 14, 2024. Black sesame, dark chocolate, activated charcoal. Sesame nuttiness meets rich chocolate notes. Served with a Kinako Black Sesame S'more, homemade marshmallow dusted with kinako on a bran cookie. 

  • STARRY VILLAGE (HOSHINOMURA)*: Available January 13 - 31, 2024. Hoshinomura, one of the most beautiful villages in Japan. This winter, we’d like to invite you to spend a magical starry night in Yame, Fukuoka, in Japan, where this particular organic matcha is sourced from. This drink is a vegan matcha white chocolate oat latte with a touch of Kinako (roasted soybean powder), topped with black sesame whip and star sprinkles. Paired with a rich matcha mini tart. *Organic, dairy-free, vegan, for dine-in, it’s presented in a beautiful double-wall glass, rim dipped in white chocolate. For take-out, it’s served in an illustrated cup designed just for this hot chocolate festival.
  • LOST IN BLOSSOM**: Available February 1 - 14, 2024. Lost in Blossom is a floral & aromatic jasmine white chocolate oat misto with light & airy rose vegan whip.  Served with a strawberry mini vegan cream puff. **Dairy-free, vegan.
