Vancouver's ramen scene is always brimming with options, and despite being a city that is saturated in ramen brands, styles, and chains, it seems there's always room for one more.
A new ramen restaurant is moving in at 770 Bute St called Beest. The name is presumably a play on beast and beef, which factors into their signature dish, but a term that Google thinks should be the superlative "best," so mind your searching.
Beest's focus is on "roast beef marinated ramen," according to its tagline. Specifically, Beest will feature a style of broth-less ramen called mazemen, which has been popularized in recent years in Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»by the chain Kokoro Tokyo Mazesoba, which operates multiple units in the Metro region, including a fairly new location in the River District.
Touting "a brand new ramen experience," Beest has not revealed much more about its concept, though a samurai figure plays into their branding, per its scant Instagram postings.
Beest's address was most recently home to an outpost of , the Korean restaurant, which has been closed for some time now.
No opening date or further details have been shared; Beest is on Instagram as , where they will provide updates.
