Families in pursuit of a little seasonal fun can head to the this Sunday for a day of free fun.
Winter Mosaic will have its inaugural event on Dec. 1, and will find the Maritime Museum accepting admissions by donation, with plenty of extra things to do on site.
There will be a free arts and crafts station set up inside the Teekay Gallery, and live musical performances by Michael Viens of Blackthorn and fiddler Annie Brown. Additionally, the West End Chamber Choir will be on hand singing Christmas carols, and free hot chocolate and cookies will be handed out.
Winter Mosaic at the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Maritime Museum is a celebration of the winter season that explores the different ways the people living in the Lower Mainland celebrate the cold months.
Other free holiday things to do right now in Metro Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»include Heritage Christmas at Burnaby Village Museum, free Christmas movies on Dec. 7 across the region at Cineplex cinemas, Lights at Lafarge in Coquitlam, and on Nov. 29 the large Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Christmas tree will be lit at Robson Square.
