A prominent street in downtown Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»is currently crawling with police cars, SWAT teams and camera crews.
Hamilton Street, between West Georgia and Robson streets, has been blocked off for TV production with fake emergency crews as the show shoots scenes.
The scenes include swat teams in full gear, police cars almost identical to Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Police Department cars (although the fake ones say "Metro Police"), and a redressing of the CBC's main entrance.
Somewhat confusingly, the set is being guarded by VPD officers with police cars that blend in with the scene.
The production crew have been shooting scenes at CBC's office for a few days; people on reported spotting the crew last week on Hamilton Street. The production will continue shooting in the area at least through Oct. 29.
The show, which stars Vanessa Morgan and Giacomo Gianniotti, has been using the CBC office as a police station since the pilot.
Wild Cards, currently producing its second season, follows a demoted cop and a con woman working together to solve crimes in Vancouver.
