Oktoberfest is that cheery time of the year when people gather round to drink beer and breweries switch to Bavarian menus. During the three-week occasion, those looking for a sleeve and a Bavarian bite can find Oktoberfest all over the city.

This Oktoberfest celebration starts with a cask tapping ceremony to the backdrop of classic Oktoberfest songs, a Stein Holding competition with both heavy and light weight categories, and a best dressed competition.

This brewery took an Oktoberfest twist to its menu, including various 'wurst' sausages and Bavarian pretzels. They also have a Bier Garden open until Oct. 2 with German style brews, food and music.
