A vibrant Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»neighbourhood will fill with flavours of Greece this summer.
The largest one-day Greek festival in Metro Vancouver, , will take over a stretch of a Kitsilano street on June 25 in an annual celebration of all things Greek.
The summer street festival was cancelled and modified over the past two years and is set to make a full return and is "give you a true Greek experience" in 2023, notes the event website. The festival is part of the many events taking place during .
Festival-goers can partake in a variety of workshops and activities, from learning traditional Greek dance, ceramics, and pottery, to marvelling at cooking demonstrations of Mediterranean dishes.
The celebration will also offer an assortment of entertainment, live music, market vendors, and Greek food and drink, from souvlaki and dolmades to moussaka and baklava.
The festival is presented by the Hellenic Canadian Congress of BC and will take place in the heart of Vancouver's Greektown– an area in the Kitsilano neighbourhood that was historically an enclave of Greek immigrants and their descendants.
