Garret Louie (GMAN) has been marketing and promoting parties since 1990. It all started after a trip to the ASR trade show in LA. He saw what was going down, decided that he wanted to bring it to Canada, and picked up the streetwear clothing line, Freshjive. That was the start of the distribution company Timebomb Trading Inc. Knowing that he needed to promote the brand the same way he saw it down in LA, he threw his first massive party in Vancouver. 1,500 people showed up and it was the beginning of it all.
During the day, Garret is a Director at , which presently represents lines like Etnies, Emerica, Freshjive, RVCA, and LRG, and is the co-owner of the sales agency . At night, Garret is a DJ and promoter with partner Robert Rizk, and their company, is responsible for building and defining the hip hop music scene in Canada.
