Summer night markets are returning to Port Moody.
The monthly pop-up events featuring more than 50 local shops and brands, food trucks and breweries will be held at the Site B community and event space ()
The first night market is on June 14, from 4 to 9 p.m. Subsequent markets are scheduled for July 19 and Aug. 9.
The markets are organized by Langley-based The Collective Markets, that runs similar ventures in Tsawwassen, Pitt Meadows, Ladner and Surrey.
This is the second year the summer night markets have landed in Port Moody. The company has also hosted spring and Christmas markets at Site B, as well as special markets for Mother’s Day and International Women’s Day.
Founders Jessica Hallstone and Caitlyn Domijan said the vendors they attract are “active in the handmade community and on social media.”
They said they look to create a “unique shopping experience” where shoppers and vendors can meet and support each other.
Since being repurposed from an old industrial warehouse, Site B has hosted a myriad of special events and gatherings, from dance nights to Port Moody's first professional wrestling show.
The summer night market is dog friendly. Admission is $5 and .
