The city has announced details for the popular miniature train in Stanley Park this Easter.
Only 5,700 tickets will be available for the Easter Train, which will run from Friday, March 29 (the Good Friday holiday) to Monday April 1, from 10 a.m to 4 p.m. each day. Tickets will go on sale on March 12 at noon on .
How to buy tickets for the Easter Train
To help things run smoothly, the city will have people line up before noon online.
"To help facilitate a fair and efficient process, our provider will integrate a queue system. Access to the waiting room begins at 11:30 am on March 12," states the city.
Those in the digital waiting room online will be randomly selected to join a "purchasing queue." Anyone who joins the waiting room after noon will be at the back of the queue in a first-come, first-served line.
"As the Stanley Park Train is a highly popular attraction with limited availability, we encourage guests to purchase their tickets early. Due to logistical and staffing considerations, tickets will not be available for purchase on-site," reads a press release from the city.
Last fall, tickets for the popular Christmas Train this winter sold out in hours in two batches; that train ran for a couple of weeks with more than 41,000 tickets sold, however, some guests noted empty seats on trains due to no-shows.
Ticket pricing for Easter 2024
Tickets will be $9 per person 3 years old or older. Babies and toddlers up to 2 years old are free.
There will be an accessible carriage for wheelchair users.
"Tickets for wheelchair-accessible spots and attendants will be reserved in advance of the general sale. Complimentary admission is offered to support persons accompanying guests with disabilities requiring assistance," states the city.
Those needing tickets for children in wheelchairs and attendants must call 1-844-307-7469 on March 12 starting at 8 a.m.
Easter fun
The Easter Train won't just be a ride through the forest over the Easter long weekend; there will also be activities and entertainment for people to enjoy.
"Guests can look forward to a family-friendly atmosphere highlighted by a visit from the Easter Bunny and engaging displays in the plaza. Local vendors will also be present, offering an assortment of sweet and savoury treats!" states the on Facebook.
Anyone can enjoy the on-site activities and entertainment; a train ride ticket is not needed to stop by to experience the Easter-themed fun.
The city is also hosting at community centres around 麻豆传媒映画with egg hunts and carnivals in different neighbourhoods (which the Easter Bunny will also visit).
