'Olympics paradise, locals nice': Someone made a song with the music from the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Mario Kart course

It's...a thing that now exists.

YouTuber GWallPro (and friends) has made a Mario Kart rap using the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Velocity music.

Here's another one to add to the list of songs about or referencing Vancouver.

YouTuber GWallPro, along with some friends, has put lyrics to the music used in Mario Kart's Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Velocity race and it's...a thing that now exists. The four YouTubers, who all create pop culture songs on their own channels, rap about the race and Vancouver, along with other topics like the other races in Mario Kart 8's latest wave of tracks for the Nintendo Switch.

"Headlights beaming in a magical place like Vancouver," sings GWallPro in the chorus.

He also mentions the Olympics and how nice the locals are, at one point rapping in front of a TV screen showing a Google image search of Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»at night.

"I'll send you from B.C. to 8-bit," goes another line of GWallPro's prose

Other lyrics seem to be about Canadian stereotypes (maple syrup viscosity gets a shout-out). The others focus more on the game itself and their skills in Mario Kart.

The actual music was composed by Kenta Nagata, who's composed music for Nintendo since 1996, including lots of music for Mario Kart races over the years. Remixes or new versions of Mario Kart songs aren't uncommon; someone else song as well to make it more like a dance track.
