Ryan Reynolds gave a subtle shoutout to a fellow Vancouverite.
The Vancouver-born actor joined in on the online discourse following news of a limited series about Buster Keaton being in the works.
Oscar and Emmy winner Rami Malek is set to play Keaton in the upcoming series, reports .
Reynolds replied to a tweet from Deadline announcing the news, saying that he's "excited to see Buster Keaton’s story told" and included a nod to one of his favourite short films about the legendary comedian.
The short film linked in Reynolds' tweet is "" by Vancouver-based writer, editor, and director Tony Zhou.
Zhou's work includes the Netflix series Voir, which he co-wrote and co-directed with Taylor Ramos, several live-action and animated projects, and the popular YouTube series, also co-produced with Ramos, called "Every Frame a Painting" which includes Reynolds' favourite short film on Keaton.
