A Port Coquitlam dancer and costume designer is a headliner in next month’s Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»International Burlesque Festival.
For her third time, Scarlet Delirium returns to the annual gathering on Friday, April 4 for The Glamorama Gala and April 5 for The Showpony Soiree, also featuring Bee Bee Sanchez.
Both events are at 8 p.m. at the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Playhouse (600 Hamilton St., Vancouver).
As well, Virago Nation, an Indigenous-based company that Delirium co-formed, will be part of a panel discussion for TIT Talks on Thursday, April 3 at 221A-825 Pacific St., Vancouver, at 6:30 p.m.
A fashion designer whose lingerie line, Good Medicine, was recently highlighted at the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Indigenous Fashion Week, Delirium is a Kwakwaka’wakaw performer.
The 19th iteration of the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»International Burlesque Festival will include singing, dancing, drag and comedy with nods to ancestry, pop culture, showgirls, exotic dance and 1990s toys.
