This week on the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Podcast, we get to know one of the co-founders of , Leah Heneghan. Find out how this fest, now in its ninth year, grew from being a small 100-person tasting event to a 10-day city-wide multi-event craft beer bonanza.
Sitting in the co-host chair this week with Lindsay is V.I.A. Content Editor (and ) Adam Nanji. Adam and Lindsay talk to Leah, who is the VCBW Festival Director, about how soaked Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»has become in craft suds, what the rise of the independent beer producer means for the "big beer" biz, and trends like glitter beer.
And of course...there's beer to be tried. Leah brought along four local brews and one high-wattage cider. While the Glacier Media offices' glassware selection comes up lacking, these beers are some excellent picks representing a diverse array of styles.
Plus, Adam and Lindsay talk more about restaurants, and follow up on some of the big awards that were revealed for 2018. And Adam talks about his chat with artist Germaine Koh, whose "SeaSawSeat" installation got Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»talking A LOT about the value of public art in our city. Sit right back, crack open a cold one, and have a listen. And check out VCBW, running May 25-June 3.
