Over 100 free concerts will fill Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»with a smorgasbord of music this month.
The Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Symphony Orchestra (VSO) and VSO School of Music are holding the fourth annual on Saturday, June 10.
The one-day musical festivity is free for all to attend and aims to bring together and showcase local talent across 13 stages in the Lower Mainland.
Vancouverites can tune in to a performance between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. at the Orpheum, Pyatt Hall, the Annex, and pop-up venues at YVR airport, Bill Curtis Square in Yaletown, the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Convention Centre, and the Deloitte and TELUS Garden office buildings on West Georgia Street.
The full Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Symphony Orchestra will be playing a free concert at the Orpheum at 8 p.m. which will feature music by Mozart, Brahms, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, and, as part of the VSO's commitment to Truth and Reconciliation, selections from Ancestral Voices.
Other highlights throughout the day include performances by jazz vocalist Will Clements, a 100th-anniversary celebration by the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Kiwanis Music Festivals, Michael Dirk and the mighty Wurlitzer Organ, the high-octane funk band Cookin' with Brass, and music on the traditional Persian Flute and Mridangam drum by Amir Eslami.

A Mini Music Maker class for families with young kids will be held for free at the VSO School of Music and Bill Curtis Square where the little ones can explore the art of music.
