Burnaby will soon be the site of Canada's first-ever public special effects showcase with the grand opening of Monster Museum on Oct. 14.
MastersFX, based along the Burnaby-Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»border, is hosting the ticketed two-week event in hopes of adding to Halloween spooky season options in the region.
The 5,000 sq. ft. studios near the Gilmore SkyTrain Station will have 80 exhibits of "exquisitely detailed, hand-crafted monsters, creatures, and characters" spanning nearly 45 years of popular films and television programs.
This includes The Predator, Six Feet Under, True Blood, DC's Legends of Tomorrow, Monster High, Slither and more.
According to its website, MastersFX's Monster Museum — located — is a self-guided tour and discretion is advised for younger children.
The monsters will come to life Oct. 14, 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, 29, 30 and 31.
