The Beaumont Studios and Art Soul Methods are hosting a Black History Month Celebration Pop Up Market on Feb. 11, 2023.

A market featuring local Black-owned businesses is popping up in Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­next week. 

The second annual is bringing together artists, vendors, and small businesses from Vancouver's BIPOC and Afrocentric artist community. 

The event will take place on Feb. 11 at 11 a.m. at The Beaumont Studios. Entry is by donation.

Here's a sneak peek at the vendors:

This project offers a de-colonial, anti-oppressive, and anti-racist learning environment, along with community and educational resource and events, for local children and families. The curriculum prioritizes land and arts-based education and prioritizes Black, Indigenous, and BIPOC educators, mentors, and facilitators. 

Students will be selling handmade gifts and crafts. 

This organic skincare brand uses natural, sustainably sourced ingredients to create soaps, creams, facial oils, and body oils. Products are locally made in small batches. 

 

This Vancouver-based alchemist fabricates "magick and joy" by crafting handmade jewellery symbols, high vibrational silver, gold, and healing gemstones. The artisan also makes soaps, oracle decks, and spells. 

This family-operated business aims to provide of sense of belonging and nostalgia for the diaspora and introduce the flavour of the Caribbean to local communities. 

Try authentic Jamaican meals, spices, and novelties at the market. 

This organic skincare and wellness brand is rooted in aromatherapy, offering an array of products infused with CBD and/or essential oils.

The founder is a practicing Certified Aromatherapist and will be offering 30-minute massages at the market alongside her products. 

The name means "blessing" in Twi, a dialect of the Akan language spoken in southern and central Ghana. The local business creates clutches and earrings with a unique take on Ankara prints.
