Popular American actor John Cena is currently filming in Cloverdale and locals shared snaps of the film set on social media on Monday (July 5).
Cena is currently filming a Suicide Squad spin-off show called Peacemaker in the city. The will air on HBO in 2022 and "will explore the origins of the character that Cena will play in the upcoming film, a man who believes in peace at any cost — no matter how many people he has to kill to get it."
The actor and professional wrestler is married to Canadian engineer Shay Shariatzadeh; she studied at the University of British Columbia.

A couple of months ago, director James Gunn took to social media to share a picture of the actor walking down the street in full costume. He captioned: "What’s weird is that this is on John’s day off."
In response, Cena reshared Gunn's tweet and asked, "Why is that weird?"
The Peacemaker star added that he was "just breaking in the uniform" and quipped that it is "quite difficult to shower in...but I manage."
Fans also shared photos of Cena celebrating his birthday on a 鶹ýӳfilm set in April.
