Rock superstar Robert Plant and bluegrass country singer Alison Krauss will perform together in Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre this summer.
Plant, who was the frontman of the iconic rock group Led Zeppelin, has a cult-like following around the world. The band rose to fame in 1969 with songs like "All of My Love," "Dazed and Confused," "Kashmir," and dozens more. Their biggest hit is the legendary "Stairway to Heaven," which is considered one of the greatest rock songs of all time.
Krauss has won a whopping 27 Grammy awards and is touted for her "spellbinding vocal performances."
Together, the vocalists will deliver "a cosmic collision of early blues, country deep cuts, revolutionary folk-rock and lost soul music," backed by a full band on their Can't Let Go tour across North America.
Their 2021 album, , debuted in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 and spent 20 weeks at #1 on the Americana chart. Following its release, the duo made appearances everywhere from The Late Show and The Tonight Show, to CMT Crossroads and CBS Mornings, PBS NewsHour, and NPR’s Tiny Desk.
The tour will kick off in Tulsa, Oklahoma on June 2 and make several stops across the U.S. before arriving in Edmonton on Aug. 11. After playing one show in Alberta, Vancouverites can catch the star-studded show on two nights: Aug. 13 and Aug. 14.
The 30-date tour wraps up on Sept. 1 in Vail, Colorado but "additional stops" will be revealed at a later date.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 16, following a series of pre-sales beginning at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, February 14.
