King Tut, welcome to the digital world.
One hundred years after the remarkable discovery of King Tut's intact tomb and treasures, the famous mummy is coming to Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»in a fully immersive exhibit.
In partnership with the National Geographic Society, the will arrive at the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Convention Centre East on a newly-announced opening date of Nov. 4 2022 as its first stop on its Canadian tour. The show's opening date coincides with the 100th anniversary of the discovery of the intact tomb of King Tutankhamun.
The exhibit uses sight, sound and state-of-the-art projection mapping to create a photo-realistic version of King Tut's tomb and treasures as first seen at the time of its discovery in 1922.
Visitors have the option to add on the debut of award-winning virtual reality experience "Tutankhamun: Enter the Tomb" to the immersive exhibit.
National Geographic will also be commemorating the discovery's 100-year anniversary with a documentary and a magazine feature in November.
When: Limited run opens Nov. 4, 2022; Sunday - Thursday: 10 a.m.-8 p.m. (final entry 7 p.m.) and Friday & Saturday: 10 a.m.-9 p.m. (final entry 8 p.m.)
