has been taking over Yaletown since 2012, and it'll happen again this year.
The free, outdoor winter festival will feature all sorts of family-friendly holiday activities, from roaming holiday characters to live music to horse carriage rides. There will also be live ice sculpting, a photo booth, and a huge street market.
"Lights and candy canes will adorn lamp poles and costumed characters will parade down the street," describes the Yaletown BIA. "Holiday shoppers are welcome to start their seasonal gift buying in Yaletown with hundreds of local merchants as well as a specialty market carrying unique gifts and holiday treats."
And for the older attendees, there's even a self-guided cocktail tour.
New this year there will also be a scavenger hunt-style activity as part of the new Yaletown Gift Passport, a new app meant to reward locals for shopping local, according to a press release.
Candy Town will be taking place Dec. 3 and 4 in Yaletown, with the activities focused on Helmcken Street between Hamilton and Mainland streets, and at Bill Curtis Square.
