An Apple TV+ series called Godzilla and the Titans will film on West Hastings Street in 2022. It's from the Monsterverse that includes Godzilla vs. Kong.

A high-action stunt scene for a new Apple TV+ series will be filmed on a busy Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»street this week.

Godzilla and the Titans, produced by Matt Shakman, is currently filming in the city and leverages the success of Legendary Entertainment's other Monsterverse offerings, such as the hugely popular 2021 movie Godzilla vs. Kong.

The new series will follow the aftermath of Godzilla's battle with the Titans that levelled San Francisco and "explore one family’s journey to uncover its buried secrets and a legacy linking them to the secret organization known as Monarch," according to .

Production company EP Hydronaut Canada Inc. will film a stunt scene in the 1000 block of West Hastings St. where a car will flip over and a stunt performer will "exit the flipped vehicle," according to a resident notification letter.

There will be 130 background performers involved in the scene and a special FX team will "wet down the area at the time of filming"

On Thursday (July 14), a small crew will arrive to prepare the area for filming and they will continue to prepare the area on Friday during the day. Filming is slated to commence at 6 p.m. later that evening and continue overnight until Saturday at 7 a.m.

A small crew will return after filming to restore the area to its original condition.

Locals have shared videos and photos of the crew filming scenes earlier this week at 601 Beach Cres. in Vancouver. The crew created a "refugee camp" and the scenes involved 180 background performers and vehicles.
