Last year was my first year ever skating downtown amongst the controlled chaos and I give it the two giant thumbs up. Â Previously, I just sort of shrugged off the day as 'oops...I forgot' but after skating with all those kids across the bridge, I've been looking forward to it all year. Â Skating with that many people is something to experience. Â Plus my hope is to see everyone I know who skates because we NEVER see each other anymore.....
So this is my call, to all the casual skaters, the 'I used to skate'rs, long boarders, vert dudes, downhillers, freestylers, sk8r boi's, geezers, street dogs.....EVERYONE! Â Get down to the plaza at 1pm and take the city over.....
