Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»has a few haunted hot spots, including pretty much every local theatre as well as a particularly quaint but eerie neighbourhood.
The returns for its 13th Halloween season, taking curious Vancouverites and visitors through the backstreets and alleyways of Victorian Gastown and uncovering its mysterious history and gruesome secrets with only lamplight to guide the way.
The gothic walking tour will tell the tales of the notorious Gold Rush ladies, the legend of the Great Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Fire, the chilling history of George Vancouver, the haunting legend of Gaoler's Mews, heartbreaking stories of smallpox outbreaks, and an unsolved murder mystery that still baffles investigators today.
The tour will also give folks a glimpse into hotels and streets frozen in time since the 1800s and retrace the final moments of gold prospector John Bray, whose life took a tragic turn in 1898 after he was abandoned and fatally shot multiple times.
The Lost Souls of Gastown will run nightly between 6 and 9 p.m. starting October 14 through Halloween night.
