A new Apple TV+ plus production had locals doing double-takes at the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Public Libary's (VPL) central location.
Firebug is about a serial arsonist who terrorized southern California, burning down buildings in broad daylight for over a decade. It is inspired by which is based on true events.
The Apple TV+ show will follow the detective and arson investigator tasked with , according to Apple.
The area outside the VPL's central location in West Georgia Street was transformed to look like it was destroyed by a fire, with a huge pile of wires and other rubbish.
Several locals shared images of the film set, including a fake building facade, picture cars, and emergency response vehicles that read "Umberland" and "Columbia."

Teresa Lu shared several pictures on X, formerly Twitter, and noted that it looked "like they'll be shooting soon, as lots of extras and an actor police dog are on site."
Filming on the new show is expected to continue in and around Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»through the end of July.
