Escape into a tropical-themed holiday wonderland at this Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­landmark

This December, Vancouver's Bloedel Conservatory is hosting Festivale Tropicale, a holiday season event that promises fun for all ages.

Vancouver's iconic in Queen Elizabeth Park is marking a milestone birthday this year as they hit the big 5-0. As part of their ongoing celebration, Bloedel Conservatory is hosting , a holiday season event that promises fun for all ages.

Much like what we've come to know as Holiday Heights, Festivale Tropicale will find 150 free flying exotic birds, magical lights, colourful plant displays, festive music, a scavenger hunt, and much more.

The futuristic domed building now houses three simulated climates — tropical rain forest, sub-tropical forest and desert - all home to their exotic birds and hundreds of species of plants.

Tickets to Festivale Tropicale are part of admission to Bloedel Conservatory, however all those attending the VanDusen Festival of Lights will receive a free ticket to Festivale Tropicale when they exit that event.

When: December 7, 2019 to January 5, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Closed December 25

Where: Bloedel Conservatory - 4600 Cambie St (Queen Elizabeth Park), Vancouver. The main entrance to the Bloedel Conservatory is located off 33rd Avenue between Cambie and Main Streets.

Cost: Admission fees are $3.30-6.75. Discounts for large groups available. Kids 4 and under and VanDusen Garden members are free. Visitors to VanDusen Festival of Lights will receive free admission tickets to Festivale Tropicale
