Fresh off the heels of the fundraiser comes another online auction for a non-profit organization:
The Coquitlam arts facility is hosting its sixth annual outreach, with the aim to raise $10,000 to support low-barrier and inclusive arts programs at the Maillardville venue.
Bidding starts on Monday, Oct. 24 at 9 a.m. and ends on Friday, Nov. 4 at 9 p.m.
Like the Amanda Todd Legacy Society drive, the’ online auction will also be hosted through the website .
Organizer Vishakha Uppoor, the facility’s development coordinator, said the auction is being held in a milestone year for Place des Arts — it’s marking its 50th year.
And, with the COVID-19 pandemic easing, the venue is able to offer travel and cultural experience packages for bidders to consider.
In total, Place des Arts is offering 50 items — worth a total of $11,000 in fair-market value — that include:
- Round-trip for two from Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»to Tofino (Pacific Coastal Airlines)
- VIA Rail $500 travel credit
- Two-night stay at Water’s Edge Resort in Ucluelet
- Victoria Getaway Bundle (Il Terrazzo & Best Western Plus Carlton Plaza Hotel)
- Marmot Basin Jasper SkyTram
As well, there’s a winery tour and tasting, tickets to a BC Lions game, personal health care packages and four rounds of golf at the Westwood Plateau executive course.
“We’ve had many great donors,” Uppoor told the Tri-City News.
