Do you have a cool car that you want to share with the world?

A North Shore classic car event is back this year, with rare and unique vehicles ready to hit the streets to raise money for a good cause. Cruise the North Shore for Charity will return to North Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Aug. 20-21 with all proceeds going to the BC Cancer Foundation.

The event will kick off Aug. 20 with breakfast at the Tomahawk Restaurant followed by a cruise through several North Shore neighbourhoods, ending with a barbecue for participants. On Aug. 21 the cars will be staged in and around Edgemont Village for an all-day event that will include live entertainment, activities for kids, unique food options, prizes for participants and a 50/50 draw.

Cruise the Shore is the North Shore's largest display of unique collector cars, hot rods, and antiques. Money raised at the event goes to help fund BC Cancer’s six world-class centers and research programs. BC Cancer works directly with the North Shore community through the Community Oncology Network, which works with BC health authorities to ensure that cancer care throughout the province meets the standards of BC Cancer.

High quality oncology services – including medical oncology specialists, radiation therapy, registered dieticians, patient and family counselling – are provided through community hospitals, including North Vancouver’s Lions Gate Hospital.

"This event is a great opportunity to see cars from a broad range of the hobby and have fun for the whole family," said Cruise the Shore for Charity Society spokesperson Dan London. "It's also a great way to raise money for treatments to a disease projected to affect half of our population.”

Space is limited for participating vehicles, with pre-registration closing on July 30. Visit the for more information about the event or to register a vehicle.
