Cougar Creek House of Horrors serves up screams throughout the month of Halloween 2022, for Metro Vancouver, B.C. locals.

Ready to get your scream on?

If the spooktacular season is your favourite time of year, that question is wholly rhetorical. Luckily for you, there are plenty of things to shriek at at one of the Lower Mainland's longest-running haunted attractions, Cougar Creek's House of Horrors.

While you might not see any real ghosts or goblins frolicking in this freaky facility, there won't be any shortage of things that go bump in the night. Indeed, this year this vast scare-ground will include three separate haunts that will be filled with creepy abominations galore.

The first haunt is called the "Echoes of Abbath" and it it urges you to follow "the echoes of the ancient drums through the bowels of the dark underworld" (yeah, that definitely sounds a bit sketchy).  After you move past some frosty forests deep, you'll move into some mountains filled with flames (yikes!).

"It's warfare... bloody warfare. The living must battle against the centuries of doom reigned by the dark one Abbath. His army of the undead will stop all who dare to enter... and for all who wish to leave, they must kneel at the feet of the Dark One," explains the event listing.

The second haunt invites you to ring in "New Year's Evil" complete with the "snowstorm of the century." The year is 1970 and guests have congregated in a motel on the "edge of nowhere" to celebrate. But as the ball drops, bodies hit the floor. The oblivious guests seem unaware that a killer is amongst them, as loud music blares through the halls in this "frigid hellish nightmare."

The third haunt is an all-new carnival maze called "Zycho Zerchus," which features some truly freak-looking clowns. Here, guests will "experience carnival-style terror" with evil, dark clowns galore.

Formerly known as Potter's House of Horrors, Cougar Creek's House of Horrors is located in Surrey and serves up scares on all weekends and a few weeknights through October. They also have an escape room.

Partial ticket proceeds go to the Surrey Food Bank and they will also accept donations to the food bank at the attraction. See a list of .
