Fans frustrated as cheap $20 Coldplay Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­concert tickets go on sale

One fan says Ticketmaster charged a total of $80 for the tickets.

Update: Tickets went on sale Sept. 12 at noon and most fans were left out in the cold.

The moment many Vancouver Coldplay fans have been waiting for has come, leaving some with affordable tickets and others ultimately disappointed. 

Last week, the popular band announced that it will be selling a limited amount of super cheap tickets for $20 called .

Regular concert tickets to Coldplay's two Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­concerts at BC Place on Sept. 22 and 23 start at around $300 for back row seats and floor tickets start at just over $400. 

The Tuesday (Sept. 12) at noon for shows in Canada and the U.S.A., including Vancouver, Seattle, and San Diego. 

V.I.A. joined the queue for tickets for both Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­concerts and the Seattle show on Sept. 20. Nearly 10,000 fans were in line for the Vancouver concert on Sept. 23 and around 5,000 in line for the Sept. 22 show. Less than 100 people were queued for the Seattle performance. 

All three concerts were sold out by 12:20 p.m.

"Did anyone even get $20 Coldplay tickets?" asked one saddened fan on social media. Many others were also left disappointed.

Others had to overcome some technical difficulties to even get into the queue. 

One Coldplay fan alleges that Ticketmaster charged $40 in fees on top of the $20 tickets which had to be bought in pairs resulting in a total spend of $80.
