Fans of Riverdale may be disappointed to hear that several of the popular TV show's actors will leave Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»in the coming weeks.
Victoria-born actor Drew Ray Tanner took to to share a series of photos of the cast on Thursday (May 27) as they wrap up filming Season 5 in Vancouver.
The B.C. actor, who plays Fangs Fogarty on the hit show, captioned: "Season 5 à la mode — a bientôt mes amours."
Earlier this year, fans took to Twitter to share some images of the Riverdale set in Bear Creek Park, which included a football scene.
Someone captured images of Cheryl, Veronica and Archie, as well as a school bus with "Riverdale" on the side.
A look back on Riverdale's rocky 2020
In March 2020, Warner Bros. Television said the Vancouver-based production of teen drama was halted until further notice due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
British Columbia's film industry was given the go-ahead to restart production in June, after WorkSafeBC released new health and safety guidelines to contain the spread of COVID-19. More than 30 films and television shows stopped production across B.C. when the province imposed a lockdown due to COVID-19 in March.
Filming for the show picked up again in September 2020, but was halted due to delays in testing for the virus.
Regular testing also wasn't the only health and safety protocol the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»production used to prevent the spread of COVID-19 on set. On Sept. 23, Riverdale lead KJ Apa posted a video to Instagram of himself and co-star Camila Mendes swishing a solution around in their mouths before spitting into a plastic bag. The actor captioned the post: "our new normal is washing our mouths before every take of a make-out scene..."
