Barnside Harvest Festival has released its lineup for the third annual three-day music festival in Ladner, Sept. 12 to 14.
Headliners Walk off the Earth, Arkells, and The Dead South will be supported by a deep festival roster including Bedouin Soundclash, Ruby Waters, Shakey Graves, Said the Whale, Streetheart and more.
“I can honestly say it’s been incredible to watch this festival grow into something so special for our community—and beyond. What started as a local celebration has turned into a must-attend event for music lovers across Metro Vancouver” said Ken Malenstyn, Barnside Brewing Co. General Manager.
The festival hosted more than 30,000 attendees in 2024 and is aiming for even higher in 2025.
Friday performers include JUNO Award-winning multi-platinum musical phenomenon, Walk off the Earth, known for their incredible live shows and massive social media following. With billions of views online, the band continues to innovate as they release unique covers and original songs that feature band-members as well as their children. Joining them on Friday night is Canadian rock reggae royalty Bedouin Soundclash.
“When Bedouin Soundclash performs on Friday night and the entire crowd is singing “Hey-hey a beautiful day!” from the duo’s worldwide hit single When the Night Feels My Song we’ll know we’ve done our job to create those magical festival moments,” adds festival producer John Donnelly.
Additional Friday performers include Said the Whale, The Boom Booms, and Blonde Diamond.
Saturday will feature one of Canada’s favourite, JUNO Award-winning bands Arkells, as well as Ruby Waters, who has experienced international breakout success.
Arkells are one of the most passionate and exuberant live bands working today. They are known for their fun, energetic live shows and are one of the JUNO Awards’ most decorated acts.
Ruby Waters is a powerful artistic force whose authenticity and raw storytelling has allowed her to connect with audiences throughout Canada, the U.S., the UK and Europe on sold-out headlining tours.
Saturday also includes legacy performers from the prairies, Streetheart and The Northern Pikes, plus JUNO Award winning Delta-based bluegrass band Blue Moon Marquee.
The Dead South have received hundreds of millions of YouTube views which launched their explosive global success. Their lightning-fast mandolin and banjo solos, three-part harmonies and classic themes combine to deliver a world-class show, especially as they are partnered with Americana legend Shakey Graves.
Shakey Graves is currently touring in celebration of his break-out release And the War Came.
Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Island’s legendary rocker Jesse Roper was a stand-out success at Barnside’s inaugural festival in 2023, so he is returning to the bill with country artists Tony Stevens and Mark Ledlin, plus alternative folk singer Madisyn Gifford.
“Dig deeper into the line-up and you’ll find some of the best emerging artists in the region, including Shred Kelly, Brass Camel, Chase the Bear, Fionn, Garret T. Willie and The Heels,” added Donnelly. “It’s a mix we’re really proud of — emerging artists, and local talent we believe in, and a few internationally recognized names that are sure to turn heads. Every year we aim to raise the bar, and based on what’s coming, this one might just top them all. Expect an eclectic blend of genres, high-energy performances, and that unique Barnside vibe that makes this festival feel like home.”
Sunday’s dog-friendly theme returns with the Southlands Paw Pals Picnic.
Attendees can bring their dogs for a fun Sunday afternoon in the park.
The festival will host more than 15 food trucks plus a huge charity barbecue with massive bars serving cold Barnside beer.
