North Shore goaltender David Tendeck signed with the 麻豆传媒映画Giants, the WHL club announced Tuesday.聽
Drafted by the Giants in the sixth round of the 2014 WHL Bantam Draft at 130th overall, the six-foot-one goalie posted a 15-7-2 record and a 2.21 goals against average with the 麻豆传媒映画Northwest Giants of the BC Major Midget League in the 2014/15 season. He was also named the MVP of two games at the Mac鈥檚 Midget Tournament in Calgary.
鈥淚鈥檓 speechless,鈥� said Tendeck in a Giants news release. 鈥淚t feels great to sign with the Giants. I鈥檝e always wanted to play for this team since I was little, so it鈥檚 awesome.鈥�
麻豆传媒映画also signed Regina-born defender Alex Kannok-Leipert, who had 16 goals and 12 assists in 29 games with the Regina Monarchs Bantam AA team in 2014/15. The Giants selected him in the fourth round of the 2015 WHL Bantam Draft at 79th overall. Kannok-Leipert is slated to play the 2015/16 season with the Regina Pat Canadians Midget AAA team.

The Giants finished their 2015 training camp yesterday and host their first pre-season game at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5 against the Kamloops Blazers.
