The 鶹ýӳGiants will wear this 15th anniversary logo on their jerseys through the 2015/16 WHL season.

For the second straight season, the 鶹ýӳGiants will play with a commemorative patch on their jerseys.

Last year, the WHL hockey club honoured late part-owner Pat Quinn with a green shamrock on their sweaters and another one painted under the ice at Pacific Coliseum. The executive died in Nov. 2014.

The reason for a patch this time around is much more celebratory. Founded in 2001, the Giants turn 15 this season and will wear a black, red and grey logo that shows the profile of a broad, toque-wearing player between roman numerals XV.

“We’re incredibly proud to celebrate 15 years in the WHL as an organization,” said Giants vice president of operations Peter Toigo in a prepared statement. “The new logo will help us recognize our history of success, and we can’t wait for our fans to join us for what will be a 15th anniversary season to remember.”

Since the 2001/02 season, the Giants has racked up five B.C. Division titles, two Western Conference Championships, and one Memorial Cup.
