The Killarney Cougars are the 6-1 team that stands in the way of a Van Tech Talisman repeat of the senior boys volleyball city championship.

It was the undefeated Talismen who handed the Cougars their one loss of the VSSAA season, coming as a 3-0 defeat in early October.

In the championship tournament semifinals on Wednesday, Killarney knocked off Prince of Wales 3-1 while Van Tech eliminated Churchill in straight sets.

The defending champions defeated David Thompson 3-1 to win the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Secondary School Athletic Association championship last year at Magee secondary.

The Eric Hamber Griffins and David Thompson Trojans play for third place at 3 p.m. today.

The senior boys volleyball city championship is tonight, Nov. 4, at 7 p.m. at Van Tech secondary. The girls championship final will run at 5 p.m. at the same location.
