The win for Vancouver, coupled with an overtime loss for the Victoria Royals moves the Giants within a single point of second place in the B.C. Division standings.
They have matched their second longest winning streak in franchise history.Â
During the 2008/09 season the Giants won 10 straight games twice. The longest winning streak in franchise history is 11 games. That streak ran from Dec. 3, 2008 (4-2 vs. Regina) to Jan. 2, 2009 (2-1 in OT vs. Red Deer).
They can match it with a win on Friday night when the Thunderbirds return to the LEC at 7:30 p.m.
